Service Pack 3 Update:  togac.exe and gacutil.exe application errors
2004 Dell Laptop with Windows XP - Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 When trying to update to service pack 3 the installation fails about 3/4 of the way through with the following 2 errors. ToGac.exe application error The instruction at "05a00c8b4" referenced memory at 0xddc20074". The memory could not be "read". and the second error is, Gacutil.exe Application error The system then will not cancel the error and seems to go through an continuous do loop that you cannot get out of. The only way to get it to stop is to end the task. You must then reboot and recover to the old level. I want to update my system with Service Pack 3. How do I correct the errors and update my system? What is the best way to correct the application errors? Do I need to reload Windows XP? TCK
